I got invited up by Allan Harris of York Photographic Society to attend an exclusive evening shoot at York Minster with a view to producing a feature for Advanced Photographer magazine. I must say that for £10 for 90 minutes photography in that wonderful building was great value and I had a productive time and it was worth the long journey. There were 20 photographers and initially the shoot was for an hour but that extended to 90 minutes which meant I had time to enjoy the atmosphere as well as shoot what I wanted. I did a lot of bracketing on the Nikon D800, mostly with the 16-35mm f/4 lens on the front, with a view to put together some HDR images and I am very happy with the results so far. Here's one image produced in Photomatix.
